Visit a chateaux
In the Dordogne region you will find a variety of châteaux, Commarques, de Losse, Des Milandes, each one will transport you to an ambiance and an epoch all its own.
More than 50 interesting sites can be found within 30 km of Plazac.
Town and Hamlets
Typical villages where you can lose yourself in the past,, St Léon s/ Vézère, St Genies, Sarlat la Caneda or Périgeux all have preserved their traditional feel and architecture.
Prehistorical sites
An abondance of caves with unique expressions of prehistoric drawings and artwork are foundin the Périgord. Fond de Gaume, Rouffignac, Abris du Cap Blanc, Combarelles and of course Lascaux IV are waiting to transport you back in time.

You can choose from a variety of walking paths or a slow kayak river ride on the Vézère, you will have a front row seat to nature.
